Severance Season 2: Release Date, Plot and more!

Created by Dan Erickson, Severance is an American science fiction psychological thriller television series. The show is directed by Ben Stiller and Aoife McArdle. Erickson is also the executive producer of the show along with Ben Stiller, Nicholas Weinstock, Jackie Cohn, Mark Friedman, Andrew Colville, Chris Black and John Cameron.

The series premiered on Apple TV+ on February 18, 2022. It received acclaim from critics and audiences. In April 2022, the series was renewed for a second season.

Severance Plot and Cast

Season two of Severance will likely be far more dramatic than the first, with the season-one finale blowing a massive hole in the lives of the Core Office Four.

For Helly, she has sabotaged a massive business event that was meant to be in support of the severance procedure, discovering her father Mr Eagan is a major player at Lumon. As a result, there may be hell to pay for her innie or a lot of work for her outie to cover up what happened.

Elsewhere, poor Irving may well be tending to a broken heart upon the discovery that, in the outside world and unknown to both of them, his ‘innie’ love interest Burt was a happily married man who was planning a new life with his husband after retiring. We still don’t know if Gemma has been severed, or if she’s willingly working alongside Lumon perfectly aware of what’s going on.

Along with the renewal announcement, it was confirmed the core four cast members will be back. These are Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry and John Turturro. Along with them, more casts are likely to come back for the upcoming season including Patricia Arquette, Christopher Walken and more. There is always the possibility we’ll be introduced to more newcomers as well.

Severance Season 2 Release Date

In the week before the season-one finale aired, Severance was officially given the green light for season two. However, when the show is back on our screen is open for debate.

Filming commenced in March 2022, and if you take into account production time and then editing, we reckon it will likely be back around the same time as season one’s release, which was a February slot.
