Created by Quinta Brunson for ABC, Abbott Elementary is an American mockumentary sitcom television series. The series premiered as a midseason entry in the 2021–22 television season on December 7, 2021, and was met with critical acclaim.
The show was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, with Brunson, James, Ralph, and Williams all receiving nominations for their performances. In January 2023, the series was renewed for a third season, which is set to premiere soon.

Abbott Elementary Season Plot
The basic premise of the show follows the lives of a bunch of administrators and educators who work in a public elementary school in West Philadelphia using the mockumentary approach made popular by NBC’s The Office. There haven’t been many details released about the storylines coming up in season 3. However, we can expect the third season to pick up the story from where the second season will leave.

On July 21, 2022, ABC ordered the second season of 22 episodes, giving it a full-season order. The series Abbott Elementary Season 2 premiered on September 21, 2022, and later the show got renewed for a new season.
However, the developers have not announced anything specific about the release date of the third season so far. It might take a while since the second season is still ongoing.
It looks like the entire Season 2 cast is expected to return for the second season, Janelle James, Rounding out the main cast are Tyler James Williams, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Lisa Ann Walter, and Chris Perfetti.
