Created by Chris Van Dusen and produced by Shonda Rhimes, Bridgerton is a period drama series. The show is based on Julia Quinn’s novels set in the competitive world of Regency-era London’s ton during the season, while debutantes are presented at court.
It is Shonda Rhimes’s first scripted series and the first season premiered on December 25, 2020, on Netflix. The series received positive feedback from critics and audiences and was the second-most-watched series by total watch time on the streaming platform.
The show was renewed for a second season back in January 2021 and now it is set to premiere soon on Netflix. It has been already renewed for a third and fourth season.

Bridgerton Season 2: Release Date and Plot
Bridgerton Season 2 is all set to be released on March 25, 2022. However, the number of episodes have not been revealed although the previous season had 8 episodes.
Although plot details about the upcoming season has not been revealed, Netflix has made some changes to the series compared to the novels. It has added new characters along with new storylines except that the first season’s plot followed what was written in the novel.
Now considering the books, audiences would spend less time with Daphne and Duke Simon. The second novel is titled The Viscount Who Loved Me and it focused on Anthony Bridgerton.
Bridgerton Season 2: Cast and Trailer
It has been confirmed for now that the Bridgerton family will appear in the new season. However, Regé-Jean Page will not reprise his role as Duke of Hastings and the actor stated in an interview that he was supposed to be on the show for only one season.
Apart from everything else, Bridgerton Season 2 will see the return of Adjoa Andoh, Lorraine Ashbourne, Jonathan Bailey, Ruby Barker, Sabrina Bartlett, Harriet Cains, Bessie Carter and others.
