Created by Patrick Moran and the Russo brothers, Citadel is an upcoming American science fiction action thriller drama television series. Patrick Moran is also the executive producer alongside Adrienne Erickson, Melissa Glenn, Brian Kirk, Mike Larocca, Patrick Moran, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, Scott Rosenberg, Anthony Russo, Joseph Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Josh Appelbaum with their production companies Gozie AGBO, Midnight Radio, and Amazon Studios.

Citadel Release Date

The first season of the show is set to premiere on April 28, 2023, and it will have six episodes in total.  The developers of Citadel have already renewed it for a second season, which is expected to come out in 2024.

Filming for the series started in June 2021 and concluded in December. The show is being promoted as an action-packed series with an irresistible emotional center. It has spinoffs set in different places worldwide, such as Italy, Mexico, Spain, and India.

The basic premise of the show is described as an “action-packed spy series with a compelling emotional center” and “an expansive and groundbreaking global event comprising a mothership series and several local language satellite series”.

As of the article writing, the developers have not revealed any certain storyline for the second season since the first season has not been released. We can expect it to pick up the story from where the first season will end.
