Narrated by Andy Barnet, “Dino Hunters” is a documentary television series where Montana rancher Clayton Phipps and Wyoming fossil hunter Mike Harris buck the academic status quo by putting their money on the line, traveling the earth, and turning out groundbreaking finds that set the scientific world on fire, the first season of which aired on June 19, 2020.
Cowboys and ranchers rely on their deep knowledge of the land to search for prehistoric dinosaur fossils – from T-Rexes and Triceratops to discovering a rare and disputed dinosaur species.
In the all-new season of Dino Hunters that will start airing from Friday, July 30, 2021, on Discovery, cowboys and ranchers continue scouring the West for the rarest and valuable prehistoric fossils and remain – from discovering a trove of Mammoth tusks to a field of Triceratops bones to prepping a nearly complete T-Rex skull – in order to entice buyers, make a profit, and ultimately, keep their way of life alive.
The dino-hunting cowboys are back and ready to dig up more prehistoric treasure across the Wild West. In the badlands of Wyoming, Montana, and the high deserts of New Mexico, the hunt is not only for dinosaur fossils but for potential buyers, as well. To prevent their way of life from becoming extinct, these ranchers must do more than find fossils. They must wrangle buyers who are willing to pay the right price for these extinct treasures. With their cherished way of life at stake, drastic times call for Jurassic measures.
