“Gangs of London” is there a Season 2 in near sight?

A show set in the premise of world’s busiest city, a city which is the centre of capitalism, a city where crime is an occasion, where blood trails are left intentionally and where brutal fights occupy the happenings of underworld pop culture. Are you kidding? Hell yes, we want a season 2! “Gangs of London” caressed the hearts of its audience with its raw violence and exceptional plot, the fans are hoping for a season 2, although there is no official announcement and all productions are at a halt because of the pandemic, we still hope for a new instalment as there are many open ends and alternative plot structures.

    How do we know if there could be a new instalment?

“I think everyone’s waiting to see what the reaction is to this first season. We have to wait and see for that, but there’s certainly scope and availability there for the story threads to be picked up again and for those journeys to continue,” said Gareth Evans, the creator and director, on an interview with Sky News.
Reading between the lines, even Evans hopes for a possible second season. The ” certainly scope and availability there for the story threads” has created new excitement among the fans.
Actor Sope Dirisu who plays Finch said “It really depends on viewing figures. We’ve already been out a couple of weeks so far and we haven’t released internationally yet. I think there’s definitely the intent for  a second series.”

As the story might continue among the niche characters, the cast is most likely to remain the same: Lucian Msamati as Ed Dumani, Joe Cole as Sean Wallace, Colm Meaney as Finn Wallace, Sope Dirsu as Elliot Finch, Michelle Fairley as Marian Wallace, Brian Vernel as Bill Wallace, Paapa Essiedu as Alexander Dumani.
