Developed by Noah Pink, Ken Biller and Suzan-Lori Parks, Genius is an anthology period drama series, made for Disney+. The first two seasons were distributed by 20th Television and by Disney-ABC Domestic Television since Season 3.

The first season of the series premiered on April 25, 2017 followed by the second season on April 24, 2018. The third season was released on March 21, 2021. The show received highly positive reviews, with an approval rating of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes, and considering that, the makers have renewed the series for a fourth season.

Although a lot of details are not available, Genius Season 4 will be titled Genius: MLK/X and will focus on two subjects, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X. It would explore the formative years of the two civil rights icons alongside their pioneering accomplishments and duel philosophies.

Considering that it is an anthology series, nothing can be predicted for sure but we can expect that the new season will be equally successful like the first three.

Talking about the cast, the makers have not revealed much but we would surely get to see some popular faces from the entertainment industry. The previous seasons had some famous stars like Geoffrey Rush, Samantha Colley, Antonio Banderas, Cynthia Erivo, Courtney B. Vance and others in the lead roles.

The latest season of Genius Season premiered back in March 2021 and it was renewed for a fourth season in 2020. Considering that, the fourth season should premiere sometime in 2022.
