Grey’s Anatomy is an American medical drama television series that premiered on March 27, 2005, on ABC as a. The fictional series focuses on the lives of surgical interns, residents, and attendings. Subsequently,  they develop into seasoned doctors while balancing personal and professional relationships. Shonda Rhimes developed the pilot and continues to write for the series. the show’s plot follows the life of Meredith Grey, who is the daughter of esteemed general surgeon Ellis Grey. Show stars from showing her acceptance into the surgical residency program at the fictional Seattle Grace Hospital. During her time as a resident, Grey works alongside fellow physicians. It is interesting to see each struggle to balance their personal lives with hectic schedules and stressful residency requirements. Within each episode are shifted from the doctors interacting with their patients, to scenes with their co-workers.

However, at the end of the show, we see the lives of the characters taking a new turn.

The show has till now 17 episodes which makes it the longest scripted prime-time show. The show received s higher viewership constantly and ranked top in viewership for 4 seasons. Similarly, the show ranked among the top 50 shows in the USA among college graduates.

The show’s success has led to the creation of three spin-offs of the series like Station 19, Private Practice, and Grey’s Anatomy-B Team. But here is a piece of good news for all of the fans. there are speculations that the makers will renew the series for season 18. Although, 2021might not be the year when we will get to see our favorite doctors on the screen.
