Oseman is also the executive producer of the show along with Iain Canning, Euros Lyn, Emile Sherman, Patrick Walters, Jamie Laurenson, and Hakan Kousetta. The first season of the show premiered on 22 April 2022, and gained instant popularity, being among the top 10 English series on Netflix in just two days.

Netflix renewed Heartstopper for a third season on May 20, 2022, along with the second season, which was release on 3rd Aug, 2023 on Netflix. The developers have not much revealed about the release date of the third season, however as per reported it is coming on 3rd October on Netflix.
