Created by Dana Fox, and Dara Resnik, “Home Before Dark” is an American mystery drama television series based on the life of young journalist Hilde Lysiak, starring Brooklynn Prince, Jim Sturgess, Abby Miller, Louis Herthum, Michael Weston, Kiefer O’Reilly, Kylie Rogers, Aziza Scott, Adrian Hough, Joelle Carter, Jibrail Nantambu, and Deric McCabe, the first season of which was released on April 3, 2020.

PREMISE: A young girl from the big city uncovers clues to an unsolved cold case while visiting her father’s small lakeside town.

In season two which premiered on Friday, June 11, 2021, on Apple TV+, a mysterious explosion hits a local farm, reporter Hilde Lisko begins an investigation that will lead her to fight a powerful and influential corporation – with the health of her family and Erie Harbor in the balance.

“I always pretend that I’m the audience whenever I make anything,” says showrunner Dana Fox. “As an audience member, when I fall in love with TV shows and when I come back for the second season, I want the things that I loved about it to be kind of the same so I’m still watching the same show, but then I want it to surprise me and get bigger and expand. That was my goal: Give you the stuff you loved from season 1 but make sure that season 2 feels like its own thing that is expanding the world and deepening the characters and making you love it even more.”
