Created by Robert Kirkman, Invincible is an American adult animated superhero television series. It is based on the Image Comics series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley. Kirkman is also the executive producer of the show alongside Simon Racioppa, David Alpert, Catherine Winder, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

The first season of the show premiered on March 25, 2021. Following its release, the series received widespread acclaim from critics and audiences, with praise for its animation, action sequences, storyline, writing, performances, and faithfulness to the source material. In April 2021, Amazon renewed the series for a second and third season.

Invincible Plot and Cast

The makers have not revealed a lot of details about the plot of Invincible Season 3. However, the third season will continue from where Season 2 will end.

For now, there has been no news on the development of Season 2 and the creators have also not disclosed a lot of information about it. The plot of the third season will be entirely dependent on what would happen in Season 2. Towards the end of Season 1, Omni-Man has destroyed his whole family and he might return with the Viltrumites to take over Earth.

Meanwhile, Cecil asks Mark to take his father’s place as Earth’s champion and Mark has not agreed to it until now. Mark also plans to finish high school but this might be tricky as threats are coming on his way. Mark’s relationship with Amber is getting better, although it is unknown how long this would last.

For now, we can expect that all the lead cast members to return in Season 3, although it remains to be seen if any character gets killed in the second season. The main cast members of the show include Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, J.K. Simmons, Atom Eve, Walton Goggins, Zazie Beetz, Kevin Michael Richardson and Mark Hamill.

Invincible Season 3 Release Date

Since Invincible is an animated show, the making won’t take much time. The second season is expected to premiere in 2022 and considering that, Season 3 should premiere by 2023.

The third season might consist of eight episodes like the first season. The makers are expected to reveal further details about Season 3 in the next few months.
