Is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 Worth It?
Published
3 years agoon
As the smartphone industry becomes more and more competitive, brands and manufacturers are willing to try any angle they can find to set themselves apart from the competition. While foldable smartphones aren’t necessarily a new technology, it’s Samsung that has been leading the charge in terms of the development of this field. Apple, Samsung’s main competitor in the smartphone space, has yet to come out with any kind of foldable device. And that says a lot about the fourth generation of Samsung’s series of foldable smartphones.
There’s no denying that consumers are pushing the boundaries of what their smartphones can do for them. Smartphone customers will use their devices for various activities ranging from simple telecommunications to playing mobile casino apps, creating original content, and consuming multimedia. In response to these dynamic needs, smartphone manufacturers are reinventing the wheel in terms of how these devices are designed and produced. Hence, the subject of this article, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.
When Samsung first launched its series of foldable devices, it was largely dubbed by many to be too gimmicky. Even today, many people still don’t see the appeal of having these kinds of smartphone devices. On top of that, there’s a serious premium to these innovative smartphones as well. The new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will set one back at $1,800. That’s no insignificant amount by any means. And in this article, we’re going to try to figure out if this premium price tag is worth it.

Gorgeous Display
The biggest draw of the phone is its ever-immersive display. The 7.6-inch screen of the unfolded phone is great for users who are usually multitasking and have multiple screens open at once. Samsung’s software has also drastically improved its multitasking capabilities in order to allow users to capitalize on the generous screen real estate that the phone provides. Of course, as far as resolution and display quality are concerned, Samsung is always the best in the business when it comes to displays.
Camera Performance
The 50MP camera that’s fitted on the device is no joke. The bigger lens is able to capture 23% more light when compared to its predecessor. The camera itself is able to capture photos that are incredibly vibrant and sharp but aren’t as color accurate as others in the market.
Battery Life
Considering the size of the phone, it’s a wonder that the Fold 4 has a battery that’s able to last an entire work day on a single charge. However, even power users who burn through the phone’s battery will not be disappointed by the 25-watt fast charging capabilities of the phone.
Value for Money
Ultimately, it all boils down to the price. On paper, the phone looks great. But not everyone is willing to shell out that much cash for a smartphone. Having said that, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is designed for a very specific kind of user who craves screen real estate without having to sacrifice much else. That’s something that this phone is able to do better than any other competitor on the market.
