Based on the novel “Jurassic Park” by Michael Crichton and developed by Zack Stentz, “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous” is an American animated science fiction action-adventure streaming television series that debuted on September 18, 2020.
Starring Paul-Mikél Williams, Jenna Ortega, Sean Giambrone, Ryan Potter, Raini Rodriguez, the show follows six teens who are invited to attend a state-of-the-art adventure camp on Isla Nublar and must band together to survive when the dinosaurs break out of captivity.
Season 2 was announced in October of 2020 and premiered on Friday, January 22, 2021, on Netflix. The new season will find the stranded campers struggling to survive on Isla Nublar as the series charges forward beyond the events of the Jurassic World film.
Told over eight new 22-minute episodes, Season 2 returns us to our camper heroes — Darius, Brooklynn, Kenji, Sammy, Ben, and Yaz — as they try to escape Isla Nublar. They’ll have to keep their wits about them as conditions on the island continue to deteriorate and it looks more and more like they’re all alone. As the campers come together to find a way to escape, they soon discover they’re actually not alone. Instead, it seems a hero might be swooping in to help save the day.
