Last Train Home: Gameplay
Last Train Home will be about surviving until the end and certain strategies need to be used for the same. The game will guide the players about the steps they need to take to reach their destination, Vladivostok.
The gamers have to explore the cities that have been affected by war. They would then send armies from the train to hunt at the Trans-Siberian Railway.
The gamers have to lead the armies towards battles. There will be a few options to unlock new skills for the troops alongside managing and upgrading the train. The gamers also need to gather the necessary supplies and get engaged in trading activities.
After the game was announced, Ashborne Games Marketing Manager Dominik Jicha said that they spotted certain similarities to brands like Company of Heroes, Frostpunk, Commandos, and Xcom. He revealed that they have taken inspiration from the same but they aim to bring a proper survival journey story.
Ashborne Games also collaborated with the Czechoslovak Legionary Community as they have people who were previously working at Legiovlak, a copy of a legionary train from the period between 1918 and 1920. The replica was used to show the time when Czechoslovak war operations were active in Russia.
