Let Him Go is an upcoming American neo-Western movie about a retired sheriff and his wife who find that their son has died and left their grandchild behind. Thomas Bezucha produced and directed the film, as well as wrote the screenplay. It is based on a novel of the same name by Larry Watson that was published in 2013.

Let Him Go: Plot and Cast
The drama is set in the 1960s where Margaret and George Blackledge live with their son James and daughter-in-law Lorna, who also have an infant child. When their son James dies, they are left completely distraught.
However, they move on with their lives and soon, their former daughter-in-law Lorna gets married again. They dress solemnly for the wedding, as they do not want their daughter-in-law and grandson to go away from them.
They soon find out that Lorna’s new husband Donnie perpetrates domestic violence and abuses Lorna. Margaret tries to do something about it but Donnie takes Lorna and their grandson somewhere out of town. This makes George and Margaret determined to track them. They trace their family members in a thrilling chase all across the Dakotas.
Diane Lane plays Margaret Blackledge, the matriarch of the family and the person who is determined to get back her grandson and daughter-in-law. Kevin Costner plays George Blackledge, the patriarch of the family.
Lesley Manville plays Blanche Weboy, the mother of Donnie who tries to shake the Blackledges off the trail. Will Britain plays Donnie Weboy while Kayli Carter plays Lorna Blackledge. Jeffrey Donovan plays Bill Weboy. Booboo Stewart plays Peter Dragswolf.
