Phantasy Star Online 2 Updates and a new title coming up!

Phantasy Star Online 2 is a free online action game created and released by Sega within the Phantasy Star series. It was developed as a sequel to Phantasy Star Online and Phantasy Star Universe. It contains gameplay mechanics and visuals reminiscent to past Phantasy Star games although adding new variations on the formula.

The game was revealed at E3 2019 that the game will be released outside Asia for the first time on Xbox One and Windows in 2020. A three-day closed beta test process was only available on Xbox One on February 7-9, 2020.

New Entry in Phantasy Star Online?

The game is well known for its unprecedented variety of characters and combat action that captivated the nation. Sega announced the latest entry to the 2021 universe Phantasy Star Online 2 named Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis.

One of the aims of Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis is to create the ultimate PSO2 in which time-tested components remain unchanged, while game design, gameplay, and graphics engines will be fully rewritten and resurrected in all respects.

The four-week open beta test process of the game began on March 17, 2020, and finished on April 14, 2020, to be formally released. The PC edition was released on the Microsoft Store on May 27, 2020. The Steam edition will be released alongside Episode 4 on 5 August 2020. The Xbox One and Windows versions were launched in Europe on the same day.

In addition to Steam release, Phantasy Star Online 2 will also receive its first major update in the western release. Episode 4 will be released as a free upgrade for both PC and Xbox One.

Phantasy Star Online 2 is an online game that focuses on player creation and fast-paced action combat. Players can choose from four specific races and nine classes to create their characters. Up to 11 other players can participate in battles and boss combat.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis has been revealed, marking the new addition to the Phantasy Star Online 2 Universe. Released at the Xbox Gaming Showcase and coming in 2021, a new teaser showed what gamers should do next year on Xbox Series X, PC, and Xbox One.
