- Apple TV+ is bringing a new anthology series created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch. It is based on the 2018 short story collection of the same name by Cecelia Ahern.
The series is being distributed by Apple Inc. and is produced by Nicole Kidman alongside Per Saari’s Blossom Films, Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories, and Theresa Park. Ahern’s Greenlight Go Productions and Endeavor Content are also the producers of the show.

Roar Plot and Cast
Detailed information about Roar’s plot remains unknown. However, evert story will highlight on women’s experiences and how they navigate through other’s perceptions of them along with their own.
The show will explain what it means to be a woman and the stories are mostly considered darkly comic feminist fables. Ahern’s book also explores the ways by which women blaze through adversity with wit, resourcefulness and compassion.
The makers have casted some famous faces on the upcoming show. The list includes names like Nicole Kidman, Cynthia Erivo, Merritt Wever, Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, Meera Syal, Fivel Stewart and Kara Hayward.
Nicole Kidman, Cynthia Erivo, Merritt Weaver and Alison Brie were cast back on March 2, 2021. They were then joined by Betty Gilpin, Meera Syal, Fivel Stewart and Kara Hayward in August 2021.
Roar Release Date
Roar is scheduled to premiere on Apple TV+ on April 15, 2022. It will consist of eight episodes with 30 minutes each.
The streaming platform made the same announcement on March 2, 2021 saying that every episode would be told from a female point of view. This also marks Flahive and Mensch’s first project under their new deal with Apple TV+.
The anthology series is not yet renewed for a second season and that will entirely depend on the success of the first season.
