Created by Julie Puckrin, SkyMed is a Canadian television medical drama series. the main plot of the series focuses on the nurses and pilots working for an air ambulance service in remote northern Manitoba.

Puckrin is also the executive producer of the series. the makers have renewed the series for a second season. The series is created for the Canadian English-language broadcast television network CBC.

SkyMed Season 2 Release Date

The series debuted on July 10, 2022, and received a positive response from critics and audiences. Season 1 was filmed in Winnipeg and northern Manitoba between August 2021 and January 2022. Most of the visual effects have been done with practical methods instead of opting for a green screen.

The makers have officially confirmed the renewal of the second season of the series but is yet to be confirmed the release date of it. Developed by Julie Puckrin, the show was inspired by Julie’s sister who was a nurse, and brother-in-law, who worked aboard air ambulances. The staff featured many indigenous and queer writers who equally contributed to the story.

Now, coming to the cast of the series includes Natasha Calis as Nurse Hayley Roberts, Praneet Akilla as Jay Chopper, Mercedes Morris as Lexi Martine, Kheon Clarke as Tristan Green, Braeden Clarke as Jeremy Wood, Morgan Holmstrom as Crystal Highway, Aason Nadjiwan as Captain Austen Bodie, and many more are there.
