Slow Horses Season 2: Release Date, Cast, and more!

Written by Morwenna Banks, Will Smith, Jonny Stockwood, and Mark Denton, Slow Horses is a spy thriller television series based on the 2010 novel of the same name by Mick Herron. The executive producers of the show are Iain Canning, Hakan Kousetta, Jamie Laurenson, Gail Mutrux, Emile Sherman, Will Smith, Douglas Urbanski, and Graham Yost.

The first two episodes of the series premiered on Apple TV+ on April 1, 2022, with the second season scheduled to premiere soon. In June 2022, the series was renewed for the third and fourth seasons.

Slow Horses Season 2 Release Date

Slow Horses has already been renewed for Seasons 3 and 4. Apple TV+ shared that Season 2 is going to premiere later in 2022, though an exact date was not given.

With audiences responding so positively to the first season, it’s likely Apple will also want to press on ASAP with production on the third.

Slow Horses Plot and Cast

Apple TV Plus has not released an official synopsis for Slow Horses Season 2, but in the trailer, we hear the phrase “dead lions,” which just so happens to be the title of Herron’s second book in the series.

Here is the synopsis for the Dead Lions book- “The disgruntled agents of Slough House, the MI5 branch where washed-up spies are sent to finish their failed careers on desk duty, are called into action to protect a visiting Russian oligarch whom MI5 hopes to recruit to British intelligence. While two agents are dispatched on that babysitting job, though, an old Cold War-era spy named Dickie Bow is found dead, ostensibly of a heart attack, on a bus outside of Oxford, far from his usual haunts.

Of course, leading the way is Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb. The rest of the Slow Horses are also back, including Jack Lowden as River Cartwright, Saskia Reeves as Catherine Standish, Rosalind Eleazar as Louisa Guy, Dustin Demri-Burns as Min Harper, and Christopher Chung as Roddy Ho.
