The Boys Season 4: Release Date, Plot, and more!

Developed by Eric Kripke for Amazon Prime Video, The Boys is an American black comedy action superhero drama television series. It is based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, which DC Comics originally published was premiered on July 26, 2019.

The second season of the series premiered on September 4, 2020, followed by the third season on June 3, 2022. The series has received critical acclaim for its writing, storyline, humor, and the performances of the cast, In June 2022, the series was renewed for a fourth season.

The Boys Season 4 Plot and Cast

The Boys was renewed for a fourth season after the release of Season 3 and so, there is no information on what would happen in Season 4. However, it will continue from where Season 3 ended.

Meanwhile, in the latest episode of Season 3, Butcher meets with Namenko and negotiates to have the Boys taken to Russia in exchange for killing an assigned target. Upon learning of the V24, Hughie asks Butcher to let him use it. The latter refuses, but Hughie secretly injects himself with a dose. As the Boys infiltrate a secret laboratory, they are overwhelmed by Russian soldiers until Butcher and Hughie use their powers.

Butcher discovers and opens a pod containing a still-living Soldier Boy, who releases an energy blast that renders Kimiko powerless and wounded. The Boys retreat to stabilize her while Soldier Boy escapes. Neuman holds a conference to address Homelander’s situation but betrays Edgar by publicly accusing him of committing crimes. In return, Homelander provides Neuman with a dosage of Compound V, which she forcefully injects into her daughter Zoe.

Annie recruits Maeve and Alex to help her stand up to Homelander. Alex later attempts to do the same with A-Train after witnessing the latter being mistreated by Homelander and the Deep. Homelander confronts Annie with Alex’s corpse, having killed him after learning of her plot from A-Train. After threatening Hughie’s life, she tearfully submits to him.

Now coming to the cast, it inches Karl Urban as William “Billy” Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hugh “Hughie” Campbell Jr., Antony Starr as John / Homelander, Erin Moriarty as Annie January / Starlight, Dominique McElligott as Maggie Shaw / Queen Maeve, Jessie T. Usher as Reggie Franklin, and others.

The Boys Season 4 Release Date

The Boys Season 3 premiered on June 3, 2022, and concluded on July 8, 2022. It was renewed for a fourth season after the release of Season 3 and so the makers have not revealed a release date until now.

The upcoming season is expected to have eight episodes like the first three seasons. The rest of the details shall be revealed in the next few months.
