The Gloaming Season 2: Release Date, Trailer and more!
Created by Victoria Madden, The Gloaming is a supernatural thriller series. Madden is also the writer of the series alongside Peter McKenna whereas Nick Forward, Keli Lee, Greg McLean, Jon Adgemis and Michael Gudinski are the executive producers.
The first season of the series premiered on January 1, 2020 and received positive reviews from critics. It received generally positive reviews from critics and audiences and currently holds an approval rating of 60% on Rotten Tomatoes. The makers have already renewed the series for a second season in May 2020.

The Gloaming Plot and Cast
The developers have not revealed much about the plot of The Gloaming Season 2. However, it will definitely continue from where the first season ended.
The basic premise follows an unorthodox and troubled policewoman, Molly McGee, who leads an investigation into the murder of an unidentified woman. McGee has to team up with Alex O’Connell, a man she has not spoken to for 20 years. They discover that the murder has links to a cold case from the past, political corruption and occult practices.
Although the details remain unknown, the lead cast members of Season 1 are expected to reprise their roles. This includes Emma Booth, Ewen Leslie, Aaron Pedersen, Anthony Phelan, Nicole Chamoun, Ditch Davey and Max Brown. We can also expect the return of Josephine Blazier, Matthew Testro, Markella Kavenagh, Zenia Starr, Rena Owen, Martin Henderson, Nathan Spencer and Milly Alcock.
The Gloaming Season 2 Release Date
The first season of The Gloaming was released in January 2020 and it was later renewed for a second season. Considering that, the second season should premiere sometime in 2022.
The new season might consist of eight episodes like the first season. The series is produced by Sweet Potato Films, 2 Jons, ABC Studios and ABC Signature.
