Created, executive produced, written, and directed by Tyler Perry, based on Perry’s 2011 play of the same name, “The Haves And Have Nots”is an American crime drama and soap opera, the first season of which was released on May 28, 2013.
SEASON 8 DETAILS:
The Haves and The Have Nots continue to heat up as Hanna, the moral conscience of Perry’s drama is tested like never before. Hanna and Benny are almost stripped of everything once Candance finds herself in a world of trouble… again. Jim and Katheryn Cryer are at war with almost everyone who has crossed their path. Their enemies will learn, however, that the Cryers are formidable foes who will stop at nothing to win every battle.
The wealthy and power seem intent on avoiding the old adage that “what goes around will come around.” Thus, Savannah will never be the same as “the haves” continue to use money to use the world, while “the have-nots” are forced to look up to a higher power.
The remaining episodes that premiered on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at 8:00 P.M on OWN“will see the wealthy residents of Savannah, Georgia involved in a true-to-life Greek tragedy as Judge Jim Cryer (played by John Schneider) and his rich friends” all find out “what happens when personal flaws go unchecked,” according to the official logline. “Karma has not been kind to the elite one-percenters.”
OWN confirmed in January that HAHN would conclude after eight seasons and 196 episodes. At the time, Oprah Winfrey put out a statement, which read: “The Haves and the Have Nots was the first scripted drama we aired on OWN, and to say it took off from the first day it hit the air is an understatement. It’s all due to one man’s creativity and very vivid imagination, a man I refer to as my ‘big little brother,’ Tyler Perry. I thank Tyler, the incredible cast, the tireless crew, and every single viewer who watched with bated breath each week and tweeted along with us these past eight years. I will be watching alongside you all during this final season.”
