American drama television series The Morning Show is created for Apple TV+ by Jay Carson, also known as Morning Wars. The series is based on the book Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World by Brian Selter, published in 2013.

The series debuted on November 1, 2019, and depicts the characters and culture that has been behind a network broadcast morning news program. Following the claims of sexual misconduct, the male co-anchor of the show is forced to leave and the angles of the #MeToo movement are also explored from different perspectives while other details about misconduct come out slowly.

The Morning Show Season 3 Release Date

Apple TV+ renewed the series for a third season on January 10, 2022, but the release date is yet to be confirmed. Since the makers have renewed the series in 2022, so, it is expected that the new season will hit your screens in late 2023 or early 2024.

The first season was released on November 1, 2019. The makers have renewed the series for a second season which aired on September 17, 2021, and concluded on November 19, 2021.

The Morning Show Plot and Cast

Season 2 of the series concluded with Alex’s career in trouble when her affair with former co-host Mitch was revealed in Maggie’s book. Alex then battled Covid-19 and meets producer friend Chip.

Chip assists her to go on air from her residence to speak on the story at the time of cancelation after the book is published. Mimi Leder helmed the finale of the second season and she told once that Alex was the main focus and they planned to make the end sequence feel like a prayer.

The leads of The Morning Show, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon and they are also the show’s executive producers. They might return and the rest of the cast members who would join them include Billy Crudup, Greta Lee, Desean Terry, Karen Pittman and others.
