Created by Shawn Ryan, The Night Agent is an American action conspiracy thriller drama television series that is based on the novel of the same name by Matthew Quirk. The series debuted on March 23, 2023, on Netflix.

Shawn is also the series’s executive producer along with Seth Gordon, David Beaubaire, Nicole Tossou, Julia Gunn, Marney Hochman, James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein. The show turned out to be one of the most-watched shows on Netflix four days following its premiere and it was renewed for a second season in a week.

The series’ first season was released on March 23, 2023, and received a good response from critics and audiences. Within a month the series became the sixth most-viewed show on the platform.

After that Netflix renewed the series for a second season on March 29, 2023, but the release date is yet to be disclosed. Since the series was renewed recently, it will take time to come out and is expected to receive the same response as the first season.

As we have mentioned, the series was renewed recently, so there is no information available for the new season but we hope that the plot will continue from where the first season ended. The first season follows the FBI agent Peter Sutherland who gets involved in a conspiracy where a mole has been operating under the United States Government. He aims to save the nation and decides to search for the mole and also protects former CEO Rose Larkin from those who killed her aunt and uncle.
