The Old Man is an upcoming thriller television series based on the 2017 novel of the same name by author Thomas Perry. The series is developed by Jonathan E. Steinberg and Robert Levine. Steinberg and Levine also serve as executive producers on the series, alongside Jeff Bridges, Warren Littlefield, Jon Watts, Dan Schotz, and David Schiff. The Old Man is produced by The Littlefield Company and Touchstone Television, and will premiere on FX on Hulu.

Cast of The Old Man Season 1
The upcoming series stars Jeff Bridges as the protagonist, David Chase. In September 2019, John Lithgow and Amy Brenneman were cast in the series, to play the roles of Harold Harper and Zoe, respectively. Alia Shawkat joined the cast of The Old Man in the following month. She will be portraying the character called Angela. Bill Heck was cast in The Old Man in March 2020, to play the role of a young David Chase. Along with him, Gbenga Akinnagbe was also cast to play the role of a character called Julian. He is a highly trained special ops contractor sent to hunt down Chase, with whom he shares many similarities. Other cast members of The Old Man include Kenneth Mitchell, Leem Lubany, and EJ Bonilla.
Jon Watts will be directing the pilot of The Old Man.
The Old Man Season 1 – Recent Updates
The series will premiere on FX on Hulu. Initially, the series was planned to premiere in the fall of 2020, but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The series will now begin production in the first half of 2021. The first season of The Old Man is now set for a potential premiere date some time in the fall of 2021.
