Created for ABC by Saladin K. Patterson, The Wonder Years is an American coming-of-age comedy television series. It is inspired by the 1988 series of the same title. The executive producers of the show are Saladin K. Patterson, Lee Daniels, Marc Velez, and Fred Savage.

The series is set in the late 1960s and takes a nostalgic look at the Williams family, Black middle-class residents of Montgomery, Alabama, through the point of view of imaginative 12-year-old Dean. The first season of the show premiered on that ABC on September 22, 2021. The series received a positive response from critics. Considering that, the makers have renewed the show for a second season.
