Vikings is an ancient drama television series produced which Michael Hirst wrote and produced for History Channel. The show filmed in Ireland and debuted in Canada on 3 March 2013. The series is scheduled to close on 30 December 2020, when the second half of the sixth season will be shown in its entirety on Prime Video in Ireland, ahead of its broadcast on History in Canada. A sequel series, titled Vikings: Valhalla, is under production for Netflix.

Vikings is influenced by the saga of Viking Ragnar Lothbrok, one of the most famous mythical heroes of the North and famous as the scourge of England and France. The display depicts Ragnar as a farmer who has risen to fame as a result of successful raids into England, ultimately becoming a Scandinavian King with the help of his family and fellow warriors. In later seasons, the series follows the fortunes of his sons and their travels in England, Scandinavia and the Mediterranean Sea.

Vikings Plot:

The series is influenced by the legends in the Norsemen of early mediaeval Scandinavia. It is generally followed by the adventures of the mythical Viking Leader Ragnar Lothbrok and his crew, families and heirs, as set out in the 13th-century sagas of the Ragnars saga Loðbrókar and Ragnarssona þáttr, as well as in the 12th-century work of Saxo Grammaticus Gesta Danorum. The mythical sagas of Norse were partly fictional tales based on the oral heritage of Norse, published around 200 to 400 years after the events they mentioned. Further inspiration is drawn from historical references of the time, such as the Viking attack on Lindisfarne recorded in the second episode, or the tenth-century account of the Varangians by Ahmad ibn Fadlan. The series starts at the beginning of the Viking Period, highlighted by the Lindisfarne raid of 793.

Vikings Season 6 Cast:

We should expect some familiar faces to return for the Vikings season 6 part 2. The cast members who will play their parts are: Katheryn Winnick as Lagertha, Jordan Patrick Smith as Ubbe, Alexander Ludwig as King Bjorn, Marco Ilsø as Hvitserk, and John Kavanagh as Sheer.  We should also predict Ben Robson as Kalf, Alex Anderson as Boneless Ivar, David Lindstrom as Sigurd, and Danila Kozlovsky as Prophet Oleg.

Vikings Season 6 Release date:

Fans would be happy to hear that there are further instalments to come in this season-series six is expected to have another 10 episodes-bringing the series up to 20 episodes in total. Amazon has now announced that all 10 episodes will air on Prime Video on December 30, and fans have shared their enthusiasm.
