PlayStation 5 is a forthcoming gaming console created by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Introduced in 2019 as the sequel to PlayStation 4, it is expected to be released on 12 November 2020 in North America, Japan, and South Korea, and on 19 November 2020 in other countries.
The device is planned to be released in two versions. As a PlayStation 5 based device that requires an Ultra HD Blu-ray compatible optical disc drive for retail game support accompanying digital distribution through the PlayStation Store. A low-cost Digital version that lacks a disc drive while maintaining digital download support.
