Netflix has revealed the first trailer for its upcoming true-crime documentary series. It will focus on roommate horror stories.
Worst Roommate Ever is set to highlight “four harrowing tales of seemingly harmless roommates turning into real-life nightmares”. It is arriving just next month on the streaming service.
Worst Roommate Ever: Plot & Cast!
The show will include interviews with victims who will recount their experiences. They shall reveal how they lived with revealed their “malevolent and sometimes violent intentions”.
“These unsettling true stories chronicle the masked menace that can be lurking right down the hall,” the plot synopsis from the netflix reads.
As well as Netflix, the show comes from Blumhouse Television, which has been involved with several critically acclaimed shows in recent years, including Sharp Objects, The Good Lord Bird and The Jinx.
The series uses interviews with some of those involved as well as animated reconstructions and recordings from the emergency services.
“Worst Roommate Ever” will feature Dorothea Puente, the 1980s serial killer convicted of killing tenants who lived in her downtown Sacramento home. Puente would drug the elderly, homeless, and disabled tenants at her boarding home, cash their Social Security checks and then bury them at her property located at 1426 F Street here in Sacramento. Despite being convicted of murder in 1993 and sent to prison, Puente denied killing the victims until the day she died in 2011.
