Fast & Furious Crossroads – Release Date, Locations and Game Modes!

Fast & Furious Crossroads is a forthcoming crossover racing & action game based on the Fast & Furious movie series. It is created by Slightly Mad Studios and released by Bandai Namco Entertainment, through, a division of the British video game company Codemasters.

Release Date

The title was revealed at the 2019 Game Awards and was set to be released for Windows, PS4, and Xbox One after Fast & Furious 9 reaches theaters in May 2020.  The COVID-19 pandemic, however, caused the postponement of both works. It was announced on 27 May 2020 that the game is scheduled for release on 7 August 2020.

What gameplay to expect?

The gameplay trailer focuses on the insane big jumps, massive explosions, and machine-gun-blasting action viewers have enjoyed from the newer film. Players will be assigned the task of completing high-speed heists and knocking enemy vehicles down. Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, and Tyrese Gibson all-star in the project, taking their respective Dom, Letty, and Roman roles into account.

The game provides a fresh, realistic plot and cinematic-style non-stop action that packs tons of gadgets and sports cars.

The action seen in the latest trailer is a mix of gameplays from Ridge Racer and God Eater. Although the most Fast & Furious Crossroads focused on racing, the players have to kill enemies and escape obstacles by using mounted weapons on their vehicles as well.

At present, it is unknown what the game’s exact plot is.

Locations

Fast & Furious Crossroads is set around world cities and includes the core stars from Fast & Furious franchise films. Players must travel to the mysterious realm of international intelligence from the streets of exotic cities, pulling off high-speed heists and tricks as they fight to take down a new enemy.

New Orleans – The Big Easy is a comfortable spot, but if you’re about to join a stone-cold killer syndicate, you’d better be confident that you can count on your family.

Athens – It’s more than light and the relics that Dom and Letty are about to find. It’s a mysterious place, too, and those secrets are worth destroying.

Morocco – It’s the location where Europe crosses Africa. It’s a perfect spot if your company is better tucked away in the sun and sand of the desert.

Game Modes

A multiplayer mode will also be available in the game besides the single-player mode, which focuses on the plot.

Rescue

Can the Villains get the object to their target before the Heroes get it back and forth? Meanwhile, the Police don’t know who the Villain or Hero is, their job is to deter both teams.

Seek & Kill

The Villains have a clear job of defending their target using whatever means. The Heroes must locate and destroy the target and get their health down to zero in whatever way they can. The Police will try to deter both teams.

APB’s

There’s one destination, two teams. Villains and Heroes must first reach their target in whatever way they can. The Cops must deter both teams from going to their target by taking down Villains and Heroes.
