Young Sheldon Season 4: Release Date, Plot and Updates!

Our beloved genius, Sheldon Copper, will be coming back for the fourth season of Young Sheldon. The show made a special place in the audiences’ heart since the premiere of it’s first season. Created by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro, this American sitcom TV series is networked by CBS. Young Sheldon is a spin-off prequel to The Big Bang Theory. The story of Sheldon is refreshing, well-executed and entertaining. It revolves around a nine-year-old genius who attends high school due to his exceptional intellectual capabilities.

Release Date and Trailer of Season 4:

When is Sheldon Copper coming back? Fans are eagerly waiting to know the release date of season 4 of the sitcom.  Season 3 concluded in April 2020. On September 25, 2017, CBS aired the first season the show. After gaining massive popularity, CBS renewed the show for a second and a third season on January 2018 and  February 2019, respectively. However, along with the third season CBS had announced the renewal of the fourth season as well on the same day.

Season 4 finale has left the audience wanting for more. The third season had to be cut short and curtailed to 21 episodes, instead of 22. CBS has not yet given out the release date. However, we might get to see season 4 somewhere at the end of 2020 or 2021. The coronavirus pandemic has caused a delay in the production and filming of a vast number of shows. There is no official trailer yet.

The Plot of Season 4:

Set in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the plot focuses around a young boy attending high school in Texas. A boy of nine(season 1) with so much intellectual faculty and abundance of knowledge that he has to attend school with people who are much older than him. Being such a gifted boy, he finds it difficult to fit in a world where people don’t quite get him, including his family and friends. It can be summed up when Sheldon says “nobody I knew in East Texas in 1989 cared about Newtonian physics”.

The sudden ending of season 3 left the audience with a number of question. As we see in the season finale young Sheldon graduates high school at the age of 11. Season 4 might take us on Sheldon’s journey as he joins the university as he begins his undergraduate degree at East Texas Tech.

The Cast of Young Sheldon Season 4:

Iain Armitage will undoubtedly return as Sheldon Copper. The regular cast, namely Lance Barber, Zoe Perry (Mary Cooper), Annie Potts (Meemaw), Montana Jordan (Georgie Cooper), and Raegan Revord (Missy Cooper), are also expected to be back for the fourth season.
