The show depicts the characters of GLOW through fictionalised stories and gimmicks. The show first came out on June 23, 2017 and was renewed for four seasons. GLOW: Plot and Cast

The city is Los Angeles in 1985. Ruth Wilder, a struggling actress, auditions for a growing professional wrestling circuit known as Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. She clashes with the director of GLOW, Sam Sylvia, because of his cynical cold demeanour and unconventional way of conducting wrestling practice and performances.

She, however, is very traditional in the way she acts and is very idealistic. Ruth discovers that her ex best friend, Debbie Eagan, was also employed in the show. Debbie used to be a soap opera actress and now she is the star of the show. There is a tension between the two because Ruth had an affair with Debbie’s husband Mark.

The series revolves around their relationship as well as other crew members and how they manage to work on the show together. Alison Brie plays Ruth ‘Zoya The Destroya’ Wilder while Betty Gilpin plays Debbie ‘Liberty Belle’ Eagan. Marc Macon plays Sam Sylvia while Britney Young plays Carmen ‘Machu Picchu’ Wade.

GLOW Season 4: Release Date and Trailer

Netflix originally renewed the series in September 2020 for a fourth season. However, in October 2020, Netflix proceeded to cancel the show citing the COVID-19 pandemic as the reason.
