‘Everything’s Gonna Be Okay’ is an American comedy television show created by Australian comic Josh Thomas. The series was produced by Richard Allen-Turner, Kevin Whyt, Stephanie Swedlove, David Martin and Jon Thoday. The series’ pilot premiered on January 16, 2020, on Freeform and left every viewer with a smile and eager for the next episode.

The show is one of the highest-rated television series on Rotten Tomatoes with 94% and 84% of people voted on Google saying they liked the show. Reviewers exclaimed that the show makes sure there is an abundance of acceptance,  not just in regards to who you are a person but also in how best to move forward from the unexpected and unfortunate events.

A Reddit user stated, “I’m super excited for this show, because of positive autistic representation, portrayed by an autistic actress! It’s good!!”

WHAT IS ‘EVERYTHING’S GONNA BE OKAY’ ABOUT?

Thomas stars as Nicholas, a 25-year-old entomologist Australian man living in America with his father helping him raise the two daughters. When an unfortunate cancer diagnosis leads to his father’s sudden passing, Nicholas is left as the legal guardian to his two younger step-sisters, Matilda portrayed by Kayla Cromer and Genevieve portrayed by Maeve Press.

IS THERE GOING TO BE A SEASON 2 OF ‘EVERYTHING’S GONNA BE OKAY’?

Ever since the debut of season 1, fans have been waiting for the news related to its renewal. The creators renewed the series for a 2nd season in May 2020. The release date for Season 2 is set for sometime in 2021. The network also released a short promo video for the season 2 of its show.
