Better Things is an American comedy-drama television series created by Pamela Adlon and Louis C.K. This was done for FX. The series premiered on September 8, 2016. The series and Adlon’s performance have been praised, and Adlon was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 2017 and 2018. 

The show has 97% votes on Rotten Tomatoes following which there was a rating 7.8/10 on IMDb and 83% on Google.

WHAT IS ‘BETTER THINGS’ ABOUT?

Better Things starts off with Sam Fox, a struggling actor and single mother and her three daughters. The three children include the angry eldest child Max, the confused middle child Frankie, and the sweet youngest child Duke. Aside from having to take care of her daughters on her own and face challenges in her own career. Sam also has to deal with her eccentric mother Phyllis and her unreliable ex-husband Xander.

The network has renewed comedy Better Things for a fifth season in May 2020.  Better Things season 5 should return in 2021.
