Anna Shay is the daughter of late billionaire Edward Shay and Japanese-American, Ai-San. The company her father founded, Pacific Architects and Engineers (PAE), did some top-secret work for the United Nations and US government. Shay and her brother sold her father’s company in an all-cash, US$1.2 billion deal.
