Created by Donald Glover, Atlanta is an American comedy-drama television series. Atlanta has received positive reviews from critics and received many awards and nominations, including two Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Series. FX first began developing the show in August 2013, and then the pilot was ordered to series by FX Networks in December 2014. It was directed by Hiro Murai and shot in Atlanta.

Glover is also the executive producer alongside Paul Simms, Dianne McGunigle, Stephen Glover and Hiro Murai. Atlanta got picked up to series with a 10-episode order in October 2015 and it premiered on September 6, 2016, on FX. In January 2017, the series was renewed for a second season and premiered on March 1, 2018. The series was renewed for a third and fourth season. The third season premiered on March 24, 2022, while the fourth and final season is scheduled to premiere soon.

Atlanta Plot and Cast

Although executive producer Stefani Robinson spoke briefly on the show’s evolution during the Television Critics Association press tour, the majority of what Season 4 will cover will be determined by where Season 3 left off. “The seasons are a representation of where we are in life, and you can follow it down to the minute,” she said. “That’s amazing how accurate it is.”

By season three, there has been a significant improvement in the maturity of the characters as well as their attitude toward dealing with the circumstances they find themselves in. Later in the episode, Glover stated that the crew closed the circle of events that began in Season 3. It was [the goal] to make things more enjoyable for everyone. According to a tweet he wrote in 2020, Glover has promised that the show’s last two seasons will be some of the best television shows ever made.

The expected cast members for the upcoming season includes Donald Glover, Brian Tyree Henry, Karlie Redd, Stevie J, Rasheeda, Erica Dixon, Mimi Faust and Joseline Hernandez.

Atlanta Season 4 Release Date

An official announcement for the release date of Atlanta Season 4 has not been made yet. The previous season premiered on March 2022 and since each season has premiered after an average of 14 months, we can expect that the new season should premiere by 2023, although a few sources say that it would premiere in 2022.

Prior to Season 4, there were 31 episodes across three seasons. Since the episode numbers have been different in every season, we can expect the same in the new season.
