On My Block is a teen-comedy-drama web series that airs on Netflix. It is created by Lauren Iungerich, Eddie Gonzalez and Jeremy Haft. The first 3 seasons aired on March 16, 2018, March 29, 2019, and March 11, 2020, respectively. On My Block focuses on the friendship between the four main characters and their growth. This show has a huge fanbase worldwide and is greatly loved by all. Netflix viewers are eagerly waiting for the release of Season 4!

Speculations are rife that Season 4 will be released in March 2021 according to the pattern of release of the other 3 seasons. But people all over are highly impatient for season 4 as the ending of the previous season left everybody with questions.

The Cast

According to many sources, the main cast is here to stay. The cast includes Sierra Capri as Monse, Jason Genao as Ruby, Brett Gray as Jamal, Diego Tinoco as Cesar, Jessica Marie Garcia as Jasmine, and Julio Macias as Oscar. There is no information on the other characters.

The Plot And Other Details

The main concept behind On The Block has always been the friendships among the main characters irrespective of the twists and turns. They have always prioritized the idea that friends are family. In Season 1, we saw the gang dealing with gunshots and saw how their bonds developed. Season 2 ended with the kidnapping of Monse, Jamal, Ruby, and Cesar. Season 3, however, was very disappointing to fans. It was a very dry season, filled with plot holes. There were no twists and turns, unlike the previous seasons. Season 3 saw many characters growing to become better versions of themselves. Sadly though, all the characters parted ways at the end of the season. This separation of friends contradicted the main idea and concept of the show.

The ending left fans with a lot of questions that they badly need answers to. Many people feel that the ending is as real as it could get. Change and growth are the only constants in life, so some feel that there could be no better way to end the series. Whereas, others feel like the show and the characters deserve a better ending!
