Insidious: Fear the Dark: Release Date, Plot, and more!
The upcoming American supernatural horror film, Insidious: Fear the Dark is the fifth installment in the Insidious franchise and the fifth installment in terms of chronology. It is directed by Patrick Wilson in his directorial debut, with a screenplay by Scott Teems from a story by series creator Leigh Whannell.
Following the release of Insidious: The Last Key in 2018, Blumhouse Productions tried to develop more installments in the franchise along with a crossover linked to Sinister. Wilson was confirmed to be the director of the film by October 2020 and Teema was hired as the writer along with Whannell.

Insidious: Fear the Dark Release Date
Sony Pictures Releasing is set to release the film theatrically on July 7, 2023. After the box office success of Insidious: The Last Key, the makers have decided to make a fifth installment of the Insidious franchise.
Filming for the movie started in February 2022. Wilson confirmed on August 22, 2022, that the filming for the movie has been concluded.
Insidious: Fear the Dark Plot and Cast
The film will take place 10 years after the events of the last two films. Josh Lambert goes towards the east to drop his son Dalton at a university. However, things take a worse turn when the past demons of their life return to create more problems in their lives.
Now talking about the cast of the film, which includes Ty Simpkins as Dalton Lambert, Rose Byrne as Renai Lambert, and Patrick Wilson as Josh Lambert as the lead characters.
The makers have also featured Hiam Abbass, Peter Dager, Sinclair Daniel, and Jarquez McClendon but the names of their characters are yet to be revealed. It is also confirmed that Wilson and Ty Simpkins will come back to play their roles as the same characters that they have done in previous parts of the film.
