Major updates on Raya And The Last Dragon

Coordinated by Paul Briggs and Dean Wellins, and the screenplay written by Adele Lim, the expected animated film Raya and The Last Dragon are going to be delivered by Disney Animation Studios. Also, an official declaration was made by Disney in 2019, about the movie, on D23 Expo.

Delay in release and why?

The movie under normal circumstances should have arrived in the US on Nov 25, 2020. But keeping in mind the current pandemic scenario, there has been an urgent need to postpone the arrival of the animated movie to March 12, 2021.

Cast

There is hardly any info available on the cast of Disney’s upcoming animated movie. Disney only had announced the cast for the main characters which are Raya and the dragon. The following are the stars who will be lending voices to the two main characters are Cassie Steele as Raya and Awkwafina as Sisu.

Here’s to what you should know about the plot twists

The premise of Raya and the Last Dragon says, ‘In a mysterious realm called Kumandra, a warrior named Raya searches for the last dragon in the world.’

The Disney animated movie will be centered on the two characters- Raya, who is a brave warrior searching for the last dragon, and Sisu, who is a water dragon can change into a human. It is hard to be influenced by East mythology.

All of us must be knowing that Disney is focusing more on making reboots of their classic movies like Lion King, Jungle Book, Mulan, and many more. We have not seen any of Disney’s original film for the longest time. So after making reboots, Raya and The Last Dragon will be Disney’s original animated film after 2016’s Moana.
