The Rising of the Shield Hero is a Japanese light novel series written by Aneko Yusagi. Originally published as a web novel in the user-generated novel site Shōsetsuka ni Narō, the series has since been published by Media Factory with an expanded story-line featuring illustrations by Seira Minami. The storyline of the first season as well know revolves around Naofumi’s story. There his only goal is to become the World Cardinal Hero. But now he is in the parallel universe. The Rising of The Shield Hero revolves around Naofumi’s goal to become the World Cardinal Hero.

Where Season 2 at?

The production house has proved the rumors of second and third season affirmative. Season 2 of The Rising of the Shield Hero is in production and expected to release in late 2020. Although, the current global pandemic situation can push the dates further. There hasn’t been any solid news about the cast of season 2. The best bet would be Billy Kameez as Naofumi Iwantani, Brianna Knickerbocker is Filo and Erica Mendez.

In the previous season, we saw Naofumi, with his defending skills against the alien species, become world-famous. The second season is expected to entail more intense fights, weapons much more stylish, and characters much crazier. The next installment is expected to take the fabs to a roller coaster ride. The first season ended with an action-packed sequence with Naofumi battling with Glass and L’arc with all he’s got to make his world win. That’s when he finds the absence of the whole point of it.
