Developed and published by Intrepid Studios, Ashes of Creation is an upcoming sandbox massively multiplayer online role-playing game that was announced in 2016 and gained recognition by hosting a Kickstarter campaign, meeting in goal of $750,000 in under 12 hours, eventually raising over $3 million. The game features a dynamic system of world-building, where the player’s actions directly contribute to the layout of the game world.

Ashes of Creation Gameplay

While playing Ashes of Creation, players can choose from multiple races and classes and players can also create a character by themselves. This includes a lot of other characters and players can choose any one of the eight primary archetypes, including Tank, Mage, Rogue, Bard, Summoner, and more. When you reach the 25th level, you can choose a second archetype from the main list of creating a combo of 64 different classes. The game is set from a third-person perspective and has a world where you need to build a lot of things. Players can play in different regions and when more individuals play in the region, the nodes can change into towns and cities. Players also have a chance to fight against all the nodes and save their nodes from others. Dynamic PvE events will happen inside the nodes where players can come in front of the events, leading to some development.

The game is based on the fictional medieval high-fantasy world of Verra which features a diverse range of biomes, both based on the real world, such as snow, jungles, plains, etc. and biomes created by Intrepid such as corrupted areas and the Underrealm. The official release date for Ashes of Creation is yet to be confirmed.
