Developed by Book of Travels, for Windows, Mac, and Linux through Steam, Book of Travels is a role-playing video game the early access version of this game was originally scheduled to be released in October 2020, but it was postponed four times but later it was released on October 11, 2021. Compared to other games where the multiplayer mode plays an important role, Book of Travel would feature a limited number of players for each server so that the experience becomes a bit different for all the players while they cross paths with each other. This will also let the gamers enjoy the game in the most unique way possible.

The players would start their journey in a fantasy world which is known as the Braided Shore. Players would get to make their own characters with their own abilities including star sign, backstory, personality traits, and more. The players would be going on an adventure where they have to travel by themselves or take the help of someone. Players would also get to accumulate resources, craft items, learn special powers, and some important things about combat.

Book of Travels Gameplay

Book of Travels is said to be a very different game compared to what we have seen in other games so far. The levels and aims are also going to feature a different kind of uniqueness. The game won’t have hard goals, beginnings or ends and it will push you to create a journey where you would get to see new things. Compared to the RPG games, the main focus of the game would be on role-playing, exploration and personality instead of the stats and numbers. Players would be able to interact with each other throughout the game in the form of texts. The conversations might not be verbal sometimes and you have to depend on a set of emotes that can be obtained through the overall experience of the player. The best way to complete the game is by walking and running throughout the game and there are certain restrictions on the emotes because it can lead to a richer and friendlier experience for everyone. There are are other ways to trvael through the game, and this includes the rail carts that can be used manually.

At the Tokyo Game Show, with a Kickstarter campaign in 2019, the game was first announced. The early access version of the game was scheduled to be released in October 2020, but it was postponed four times. The early access version was ultimately released on October 11, 2021. But the official release date of Book of Travels is not announced yet.
