Made for Apple TV+, Acapulco is a comedy television series that premiered on October 8, 2021. Created by Austin Winsberg, Eduardo Cisneros, and Jason Shuman, the series was inspired by How to Be a Latin Lover (2017).

Winsberg, Cisneros and Shuman are also the executive producers alongside Eugenio Derbez, Chris Harris, Benjamin Odell, Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, Jay Karas, Paul Presburger and Richard Shepard. It currently holds an approval rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and considering the positive response, the makers have already renewed the series for a second season.

Acapulco Plot and Cast

The makers have not revealed detailed information on what would happen in Acapulco Season 2. However, it is expected to continue from where the first season ended.

The basic premise of the show follows a young Mexican man whose dream comes true when he gets the job of a lifetime at the hottest resort in Acapulco. However, he then realizes that the job is far more complicated than he ever imagined.

Talking about the cast, we can expect to see the lead members of Season 1 coming back to play their roles again. This includes Eugenio Derbez, Fernando Carsa, Damian Alcazar, Camila Perez, Chord Overstreet, Vanessa Bauche, Regina Reyonso, Raphael Alejandro, Jessica Collins, Rafael Cebrian and Carlos Corona.
