All Together Now: Release Date, Plot and Updates!

Directed by Brett Haley, All Together Now is an upcoming American Drama which is based on Matthew Quick’s book Sorta Like A Rockstar. Brett Haley himself said  “The story’s not easy,” when asked about the film’s interest. This Netflix Movie centers around a teenager Amber Appleton who has her dreams and sufferings. It focuses on finding hope and believing in oneself even when life is harsh. Even though one might seem to be all “happy and gay” on the outside, it is really tough to comprehend what sort of challenges they face.

Release Date and Trailer of All Together Now:

Altogether Now is all set to release on the 28th of August 2020  by Netflix.  The movie is produced by Marty Bowen, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Isaac Klausner, and Lee Stollman.

Netflix released an official trailer of the movie on August 10th, 2020 and it looks incredible.

The Plot of the Movie:

The description provided by Netflix original goes like “An optimistic, talented teen clings to a huge secret: She’s homeless and living on a bus. When tragedy strikes, can she learn to accept a helping hand?”

On the surface, Amber Appleton appears to have a stable life, she is full of positivity, but there are more layers than just the surface. She is a musically gifted high school student and her dream is to attain admission at Carnegie Mellon University. She works at a doughnut shop and at the same time balances her high school drama club. Amber also spends time as a volunteer at the local retirement community. She works hard to support herself and her single mother. She sleeps on the school bus, yes, that is one of the many harsh realities in Amber’s life. Amber faces major adversities in her life, her friends and mentors offer her help. “Will Amber learn to accept a helping hand?”.

The Cast of the Movie:

Auli’i Cravalho (Moana) plays the lead in All Together Now as Amber Appleton. We have Justina Machado as Becky, Judy Reyes as Donna, Fred Armisen as Mr. Franks, Gerald Isaac Waters as Chad, Anthony Jacques as Ricky, Taylor Richardson as Jordan, Rhenzy Feliz as Ty.
