Creepshow is an American horror anthology web series based on the book of the same title by Stephen King and George A. Romero. The show was first premiered on AMC streaming service, Shudders on 26 September 2019. According to the news of Variety, AMC has given out orders to Shudders for the third season of Creepshow.
Is Creepshow renewed for the third season?
The official statement about the renewal of Creepshow is not announced yet. The second season of Shudder’s Creepshow was to start the production in March 2020 in Atlanta, but unfortunately due to the pandemic outbreak of Covid-19, the production has been halted. Shudder wants the third season to be ready with the scripts, while the second season is still under progress. Craig Engler, Shudder general manager said in a statement that while they wait for the safe time to start the production of the second season of Creepshow, they will utilize this time in working on the scripts of season three to let Greg Nicotero, the executive producer of Creepshow and his team to do the fantastic work and get as far ahead as possible.
Cast of Creepshow
Creepshow is directed by The Walking Dead director, producer, and horror story expert Greg Nicotero. The show featured 12 horror stories in just a span of six episodes. The star cast of the series is Giancarlo Esposito, Adrienne Barbeau, Kid Cudi, Tobin Bell, Jeffrey Combs, David Arquette, and others.
The series adopted its name from the 1982 movie which featured 5 stories written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero. The second season of the series was renewed on 30 October 2019. Creepshow has good reviews from the critics, with 96% from Rotten Tomatoes and 7 out of 10 by IMDB.
