American Horror Story Season 11: Release Date, Cast, and more!

Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk for the cable network FX, American Horror Story is an American anthology horror television series. Each season of the series is conceived as a self-contained miniseries, following a different set of characters and settings in the same fictional universe, and a storyline with its own “beginning, middle, and end.” Some plot elements of each season are loosely inspired by true events.

Most of the actors have appeared in more than one season including Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, and Lily Rabe. The show has received positive reviews from critics with particular praise for the performances and the cast. The series has been renewed for three more seasons before the release of Season 10.

While there are no details on the plot for season 11, we can imagine that there will be ties to previous seasons of the show. It’s not just limited to characters, either; locations from previous seasons can also show up in season 11.

Sarah Paulson had previously hinted that she may be done with the show for some time and there have been reports on social media saying that Lindsay Lohan might join the cast. FX Chairman John Landgraf had previously shared a few details about the new season at the Television Critics Association’s winter press event.

He said that Season 11 would not be like the tenth season and the concept will be of one story. It would take place in different timelines with one subject and story alongside a beginning, a middle, and an end. John said that he prefers the shorter stories format even though he has praised the format of the previous season.

Coming to the cast, there is a possibility that Angelica Ross, Leslie Grossman, Cody Fern, Billie Lourd, and Taissa Farmiga are in the lead roles. The makers might announce new additions in the next few months.

American Horror Story Season 11 Release Date

Landgraf confirmed that American Horror Story season 11 was coming this fall to FX, but he stopped short of announcing the exact premiere date. Season 10 was delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic but since restrictions have been removed, the same may not happen with the upcoming season.

Details about season 11 have been more scarce than usual. The TCA summer press tour lines up with the current season of Stories, so FX is likely waiting for the show to wrap up before talking about AHS season 11. For now, there is a possibility that the 11th season might release sometime in 2023. There is no clarity on the number of episodes as it has been different for every season.
