ABC’s show ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ has a similar plot and is a spin-off of the American reality television shows “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette”. Hosted by Chris Harrison, the show featured previous contestants from “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette”, who traveled to a secluded island in Mexico where the show would take place. The show opens with men and women on a secluded island with there being more women than men. At the end of the first week, men are supposed to give roses to the women with whom they would like to spend more time (one for each), the remaining women are sent home, and more men are called on the island. At the end of the second week, the same procedure follows but this time, the women hand roses to men, and the remaining men are sent home. The theme alternates between and women for seven weeks and in the end, a winner couple is announced.

The first episode of season 1 aired on August 4, 2014. The whole season had 5.22 million viewers on average and was considered popular among the general public. Subsequently, the show was renewed over and over for new seasons, the latest installment, season 6, aired on August 5, 2019, and had an average viewership of 4.22 million. On August 5, 2019, the show was renewed for the seventh season, but the shoot was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. At the Beginning of 2015, ABC aired “Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise”, which was a live after-show of the original episodes, it featured a celebrity fan and a member of the original “Bachelor in Paradise”.

No, the dates are not yet announced. As the Production units around the world suffer from the pandemic reactionary, “Bachelor in Paradise” had to delay the shooting schedule mainly due to travel bans among other obvious reasons, but the show is scheduled to 2021 as for now.

 What happened in the previous season and what about the new cast members?

The previous season saw some serious drama, of all the couples that proposed each other only Hannah Godwin & Dylan Barbour are still together ( Caelynn and Dean are also together but they did not propose).
Burnett and Haggerty were the first same-sex couple on the show, but revealed in October 2019, that they were not together. Tayshia and Jean had a massive fight on the show and split, but revealed later on the reunion that they were dating, in October 2019, they too revealed that they were now split. As for now, given the dramatic choice of the audience and the producers, we can expect Blake Horstmann, Bibiana Julian, Cam Ayala, Demi Burnett, John Paul Jones, Tashia Adams to be back on the show, with Chris Harrison as the host.
