Bless the Harts, which takes its name from the Southern phrase “bless your heart”, is an adult animated sitcom created by Emily Spivey. The show follows the story of a working class family living in the fictional town of Greenpoint. Emily Spivey derives the inspiration for the show from her own life, growing up in High Point, North Carolina. Spivey also serves as an executive producer on the show, along with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Kristen Wiig, Andy Bobrow and Seth Cohen.

Bless the Harts premiered on Fox on September 29, 2019. The first season consists of ten episodes.

The show stars Kristen Wiig as the voice of the central character Jenny Hart, Maya Rudolph as Jenny’s widowed mother Betty Hart, Jillian Bell as Jenny’s daughter Violet Hart, Ike Barinholtz as Jenny’s boyfriend Wayne Howards, and Kumail Nanjiani as Jesus Christ, who appears as a figment of Jenny’s imagination. Mary Steenburgen, Drew Tarver, Fortune Feimster, Gary Anthony Williams, and Emily Spivey appear as the voices behind recurring characters Crystalynn, Randy, Brenda, Leonard, and Louise, respectively.

The main voice cast of Bless the Harts will return for the second season. This includes Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Jillian Bell, Ike Barinholtz and Kumail Nanjiani.
Release Date of Bless the Harts Season 2
Midway through the first season, in October 2019, Bless the Harts was renewed for a 22-episode second season. The second season will premiere in the 2020-21 season. Bless the Harts averaged 3.3 million viewers during its first season, according to the data released by Fox. On its renewal for a second season, Fox’s Entertainment President Michael Thorn said this-
“Bless the Harts is an incredibly sharp, yet sweet, series that complements the Fox Animation Domination block perfectly. It simply doesn’t get much better than having a comedy anchored by talent like Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Ike Barinholtz, Jillian Bell and Kumail Nanjiani. The second season of Bless the Harts is scheduled to premiere on September 27, 2020.
