Created by Brad Simpson, and starring Kristin Kreuk, “Burden of Truth” is a Canadian legal drama television series centering on a big city lawyer Joanna Hanley who returns to her hometown to take the case of a group of girls suffering from a mysterious illness, the first season of which aired on January 10, 2018.
The series also includes Star Slade, Meegwun Fairbrother, Anwen O’Driscoll, Nicola Correia-Damude, and more, and is executive produced by Ilana Frank, Adam Pettle, Jocelyn Hamilton, Bradley Simpson, Linda Pope, Kreuk, and Kyle Irving.
The latest and final season premiered on CBC on January 28, 2021, and will air in the US on Friday, July 30, 2021, at 8:00 P.M ET on The CW, will continue with a legal case involving a mining project in Millwood. The town is split on whether the project is a good idea. However, that’s not the only case Joanna has to deal with. One from her past comes up and threatens her entire legal career.
