With all three successful seasons till now, the creators are ready to release the Sabrina season 4 soon.

Development

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is an American horror-based teen drama, based on the Archie comic book series of exactly the same name. It is developed by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and is produced by warner bros along with the executive producers Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Jon Goldwater. It is directed by Lee Toland Krieger. The series was first planned to be released on Riverdale, however, later on, it was shifted to Netflix where 1st season was released in 2018.

Cast

This series is revolved around the life of Sabrina as the lead character played by Kiernan Shipka. Shipka was very much appreciated for her work and devotion in making her character alive. Shipka was always the first priority for this character and she proved it right with her work. Other stars include Ross Lynch, Lucy Davis, Chance Perdomo, Michelle Gomez, Jaz Sinclair, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Lachlan Watson, Gavin Leatherwood, Richard Coyle, and Miranda Otto.

Release

The first 10 episodes of ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ were out on October 26, 2018, streaming on Netflix around the world. The eleventh episode which was also a Christmas special episode was released on December 14, 2018. Whereas the remaining nine episodes of the second season were out on April 5, 2019. The first part of season 3, which consisted of 8 episodes were released on 24 January 2020. However, the second part of season 4 is also expected to be released soon but still, there’s not any date announced till now officially.

Synopsis

The story is set on the fictional town of Greendale, which contained a large aged history of witches. Sabrina is one of them, but she chose to be a formal one and accepted her dual nature. She fights against the evil powers that threaten her, her family, and the human world.

In the first season, Sabrina Spellman is about to turn 16 and she was forced to make a decision, either to choose to be a witch like her family where she would have to pledge loyalty towards the dark lord Satan or to be a human, like her friends. She was torn apart, as she was made to choose between her family and friends.

Father Blackwood (Richard Coyle), also known as the High Priest, and Miss Wardwell are secretly following the Dark Lord’s orders, which is to get Sabrina to sign her name in the Book of the Beast. Miss Wardwell, who was previously Sabrina’s kind and dear teacher, has been murdered and is actually possessed by Madame Satan, who will do anything the Dark Lord wishes.

In season 3, Sabrina was unable to take on the fact that, her boyfriend was trapped by Madam Satan, and she goes on to rescue him at any cost. But after returning back from the dark regions with Nick, she realized that she’s a very different person now. A new threat was also waiting for the town of Greendale, as the time for the carnival of pagan witches was approaching.

Along with the carnival pagans comes Robin who took the of the storyline on himself. There was also a new introduction in the name of Caliban, prince of hell who turned to be a rival of Sabrina. Final episodes of season 3 were at its best and full action thriller packed.

Plot

Season 4 is expected to follow the consequences and will show the dual nature of Sabrina Spellman, as a half-witch and a half-human. Evil forces will try to cross her ways but she’ll continue her fight with all her pace. In this season, Sabrina is expected to be well prepared with the situations and she must handle them in a better way.

In the upcoming season, it is also expected that Sabrina will do the two jobs, as she is separated into two by the time loop. One part may carry up the throne of hell while the other part may carry on going to the university. There would also be a threat to the witch world, from the creature in the time egg. It is sure that it would be a great thriller to watch and people are eagerly waiting for its release.

Statements

In an interview when Shipka was asked about her role and theme of Sabrina, then she replied – “It’s funny to say chaos, because obviously that’s the show’s acronym, but I feel like that is the theme, these worlds colliding. In the first few seasons, we saw Sabrina try to separate her two lives, and it became increasingly impossible to do. I think that she’s finally surrendered to just living, but chaos ensues.

“That was was so fun to film. Not in a ha-ha way, but in the emotional release. The entire crew was crying; it was very powerful and memorable. I think that this season is about Sabrina finding herself. In the first two parts, we rarely saw her not in a relationship. I mean, she broke up with Harvey around the ninth episode, and she was with Nick in a few episodes. So we really have never seen her accepting being alone — not meaning that she’s lonely, but that she actually has to rely on herself and not someone else. I think it’s a really powerful message, and it makes her grow up a lot.”
